Our History

The Patterson Family commenced hiring earthmoving equipment in Morawa in 1978, providing a complementary business to supplement farming.

We became Centrals following the purchase of an established Geraldton earthmoving business in 1985 and commenced trading as Central Earthmoving with eight pieces of equipment and 11 employees.

The quality of our people and the values we share have been central to the success of our business. We pride ourselves on our reputation for safety, operational excellence, the quality of our work, the trust in the way we do business, and the smart solutions and options we bring to our projects.

Starting in the Mid West, Centrals has been involved in many iconic projects throughout regional Western Australia, from Halls Creek to Pinjarra and east of Laverton.

Our success has been built on the long-term relationships, by working with quality clients who trust us to deliver to their projects and services. The value and performance of Centrals is assured, through the continuity of Patterson family ownership and an excellent and committed team.

In recent years, we have expanded into the Perth market and moved our HQ to Belmont to facilitate more growth and partnership development opportunities. This move has helped Centrals solidify our position in the market as one of the true leaders of Western Australian civil and mining contracted services.
